Hanoi – XCE Energy Holdings and Goldwind International Vietnam have recently entered into a strategic partnership through the signing of a MOU on renewable energy power system solutions for Xuan Cau Industrial Park and Free Trade Zone project in Lach Huyen, Hai Phong (LHF).

This agreement focuses on delivering renewable energy power system solutions tailored for LHF project. The collaboration leverages the unique strengths of both organizations to foster the development of the LHF project towards a greener and more sustainable future.

Deputy General Director of XCE Energy, Mr. Nguyen Duc Minh highlighted the investment in renewable energy power systems, including rooftop solar and wind power augmented by battery energy storage systems (BESS). This initiative underscores the commitment to nurturing the LHF industrial park’s eco-friendly growth and enables tenant companies to tap into clean energy sources. This aligns with Vietnam’s carbon reduction goals and meets global standards set by international bodies. As part of the overarching LHF project, XCE Energy will assume the roles of investor and operator for the renewable energy power system. This involvement will be formalized through a service contract with Xuan Cau Lach Huyen Investment Joint Stock Company, the primary investor in the LHF project.

Mr. Nguyen Tho Que, Director of Investment and Business Development, representative of Goldwind in Vietnam, highlighted the company’s position as a leading wind turbine supplier and its innovative Goldwind Neutral Carbon solutions. These solutions aim to optimize and reconstruct the energy connections among power generation, grid systems, load management, and storage by harnessing clean energy and digital technologies. This approach fosters the development of an intelligent, more reliable, and sustainable Internet of Energy (IOE). Goldwind’s Neutral Carbon solutions have already seen successful implementation in projects across China, including the Jiangsu CRRC Dafeng Offshore Wind Power Industrial Park Project and the Goldwind Zero Carbon Smart Park Project.

In line with the agreement, Goldwind will utilize its expertise from similar successful projects in China to research, develop solutions, and supply wind turbines and energy storage systems for the LHF project.

Post-2025, manufacturers aiming to be part of the global supply chain will be required to commit to and execute comprehensive carbon reduction strategies at their facilities. The adoption of smart and sustainable practices in industrial parks, such as automation technologies, intelligent production processes, and renewable energy utilization, will enhance safety, reliability, and operational efficiency for businesses. Furthermore, embracing green initiatives aids industrial parks in adhering to environmental regulations and achieving international standards.

About Xuan Cau Industrial Park and Free Trade Zone project (LHF):
Xuan Cau Lach Huyen Investment Joint Stock Company is the owner of LHF Project, encompassing the Xuan Cau Industrial Park and Free Trade Zone in Lach Huyen, Hai Phong. This significant undertaking, with a total investment of VND 11,100 billion, spans 752 hectares and is poised to bolster Vietnam’s industrial and logistics capabilities. The project, scheduled for completion between 2022 and 2033, strategically situates behind the Lach Huyen deep-water port. It promises to enhance the region’s infrastructure by providing 369 hectares dedicated to industrial production and 173 hectares for warehousing and logistics services.
